Updated:  11/19/07    By:  Massimo Righi

Image Completion Time: About 1 month (spare-time)

A classic view of a young tiger from Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Thailand.
Modeled with Maya, rendered with MentalRay. Fur with Shave and Haircut.
With Photoshop I added an occlusion layer pass, contrast and color enhancement.
The final image is 3636x2772. I decided to not put the fur all over the body because my PC couldn't really handle so many hair primitives.
Total of six hair systems for the head and the side parts of the front legs just to match the 4k textures of the body.
Hope you like it:)

Good start, but you need to go back to the fur and tweak a bit since it looks as though someone recently shaved the tiger and his hair is just starting to grow back. There needs to be a little more variation in growth, specially on the left paw and around his mane where there's just too little fur. Just adding more fur and perhaps the appearance that the fur is not so clean will add lots of the overall image.
